Give Help

Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

We are truly blessed to have such a great crowd of volunteers and we could not work without them. At the moment all our operational teams are fully staffed.

However we are looking for volunteers with marketing/media experience to help us to run our social media accounts and create new materials.

We are also looking for volunteers with a passion for social justice and campaigning to work within the Trussell Trust strategic vision to End the need for foodbanks.

Finally we are looking for new team members to join the Purple Sheep Food Club Community. The Purple Sheep is an emerging project running on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30-11.30 at the moment from Vintage Church Hall, 25 Hughenden Road. If you would like to be part of the community and help with hospitality, assist in the cooking activities and the pantry once it is up and running, please get in touch via  [email protected]

WE DO NOT OPERATE ON WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS AT THIS POINT IN TIME.

Please keep an eye on this page for future opportunities or look at www.vansweb.org.uk to find out which organisations could benefit from your help in our area.

If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch by emailing [email protected], we’d love to hear from you!
