WESTON COLLEGE BUSINESS AWARDS WINNER

Earlier in the year film and production students from Weston College chose Weston – super – Mare Foodbank to be the subject of their Media Charity Showcase Challenge. Their brief was to highlight the work of a local charity by creating online content for the chosen charity to use on their social media and as part of their ongoing communications.

After a successful preliminary planning meeting the students spent a week with us here at North Street and at our warehouse filming a huge amount of content including interviews with volunteers and staff to create informative ‘behind the scenes’ and ‘myth buster’ videos that get to the heart of what we do here at Weston – super – Mare Foodbank. We are thrilled with the outcome, the quality of the content and the professionalism of the students while they were with us.

On the 19th June two of our staff members (Lucy and Kelly) attended the awards ceremony at the Winter Gardens where the production work for the food bank won its category. CONGRATULATIONS to the whole film and production team on YOUR win!
